Shreya Ghosal

There are people who can speak multiple languages fluently, but singing in multiple languages is not that easy.
Only few legends have done that in Indian music industry; S P Balasubramanyam is the king in this art! There are some others as well; Chitra, Sujatha, Chinmayi, Karthik, etc to name a few.

But these people, they are not singing in all the languages that frequently as our protagonist does!
She is such an amazing singer, that she performs in almost 5 different languages in parallel...

If the name is not Shreya Ghosal, It will not be possible.

Her uniqueness is that she sings so properly in the south indian languages, even though she is a North indian! The words with 'zh' sound in malayalam, or the 'la', 'LA', 'zha' difference in tamil, or the very hard scripts of telugu, everything is like walk in the cake for her, These words are very much difficult, as even some south indians can't pronounce it correctly.

But she gets down with the lyricist, get the reading in hindi, translate and understand the meaning of it, and finally, produce it with much easiness, that one would think she is really belong to their native the song she just sang from!

The book she keeps with her in the recording spot, is having all her songs written in hindi, that she is so perfect, If she once sang a song in any particular language, for sure she will perform the song in upcoming stage shows without even looking at the lyrics! Now, that's some enthusiasm! I bet no one ever have shown this kinda enthusiasm towards music...

Added some of her multi lingual songs.
Have a look and say it justifies my point :)

Partnerships...

Victory can be felt, tasted, and achieved by two ways in my opinion :
1. By believe in yourself, with full of courage and strength.
2. By "together we build" partnerships

The first approach here is not possible for all the people. We are humans after all and we are not supernatural to keep all the issues and struggles away, only by ourselves. Some people tend to prefer this, but they are the ones who are stamped as "extra-ordinary".

Hence, I prefer the partnerships. It's a two way win-win situation.
Together we achieve our goals and stand shoulder to shoulder in every step we go up.
This is the best way to keep your stress away, and enjoy the success casually, and not to keep anything personal with the obstacle creators, because you have your partner there to talk and laugh about it!

Partnerships often made successful return. Be it a business, or a sport, or even in life.

Recently a partnership in music leads the charts of tamil cinema!
They are none other than, D. Imman and Shreya Goshal!

they are enjoying the songs they work together, and yet, individually Imaan is one of the leading promising music director, and Shreya is without doubt the queen of female vocalists currently we have in total Indian music industry!

When this lovely combo work together, the songs make magic! Even though the critic Imaan has for repeating the same kinda music, We tend to love the voice in shreya and the melody in Imaan's music!

In my personal view, a movie or a song should give us entertainment and feel. I prefer watching colourful, village oriented, scenic cinema than the ones of our big heros'. The reason is, it is a feeling of passing a cloudy cold mountain way in bike; It is the cup of coffee you have alone in a corner of a beautiful village; It is the time of happiness you spend with good people, good friends.

If these real things are captured in a film, then that's way better film than the un natural heroic films. And for these type of films, melody is the key with BGM. Imaan can score cent percent in this scenario! Adding shreya's voice? Pitch perfect!

This is what we see in recent years in their combination :

  • Unnai Mathiri - Durai
  • Neeyum Naanum - Mynah
  • Sollitaley Ava Kaadhala -Kumki
  • Sahaayane - Saatai
  • Ammadi Ammadi - Desingu Raja
  • Kandaangi Kandaangi - Jilla
  • Pidikkudhae - Sigaram thodu
  • Sundari Pennae - oru oorula rendu rajaa
  • Yengirindhu Vandhaayo - Kayal
  • Yen Aala Paakkaporaen - Kayal
  • Koodha Kaathu - Vellaikkaara thurai
  • Gaana Gaana - 10 enrathukkulla
  • Mirutha Mirutha - miruthan
  • Onnapola - Vetrivel
  • Pothavillaye - Mudinja ivana pudi
  • Pona Usuru Vanthurichu - Thodari
  • Oorellam Kekkude - Thodari
  • Yenadi - Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay
  • Kanna Kaattu Podhum - Rekka
  • Adada Adada - Veera Sivaji
Some of the above mentioned combo songs have other partnerships too, for instance, most of the songs had been composed for Prabu solomon's movies, who does the movies so lively! THen its a partnership of three there.

Another wonderful thing is, the making of song video they release! It gives us that happy feel when listening to the songs in live action, not like someone lip sync it.

Check out some of the making of videos added below :

Recently, this one from Rekka, is going to be a huge victory partnership, as these too joining hands with VJ Sethupathi!

All the best for Imaan and Shreya for their future endeavors!

Two nations I admire

These are the two nations I admire in the whole world!
God, look how their anthems written!!!

Wanna see this lands be peace makers to the rest of the world, and cherish in years to come with all success!

Long live Tasman and Transman, Australia and New Zealand!

Australian Anthem :

Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil,
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in Nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia fair!
In joyful strains then let us sing,
"Advance Australia fair!"

Beneath our radiant southern Cross,
We'll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To advance Australia fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing
"Advance Australia fair!"

New Zealand Anthem :

God of Nations at Thy feet,
In the bonds of love we meet,
Hear our voices, we entreat,
God defend our free land.
Guard Pacific's triple star
From the shafts of strife and war,
Make her praises heard afar,
God defend New Zealand.

Men of every creed and race,
Gather here before Thy face,
Asking Thee to bless this place,
God defend our free land.
From dissension, envy, hate,
And corruption guard our state,
Make our country good and great,
God defend New Zealand.

Peace, not war, shall be our boast,
But, should foes assail our coast,
Make us then a mighty host,
God defend our free land.
Lord of battles in Thy might,
Put our enemies to flight,
Let our cause be just and right,
God defend New Zealand.

Let our love for Thee increase,
May Thy blessings never cease,
Give us plenty, give us peace,
God defend our free land.
From dishonour and from shame,
Guard our country's spotless name,
Crown her with immortal fame,
God defend New Zealand.

May our mountains ever be
Freedom's ramparts on the sea,
Make us faithful unto Thee,
God defend our free land.
Guide her in the nations' van,
Preaching love and truth to man,
Working out Thy glorious plan,
God defend New Zealand.

Beautiful evening in Pointpedro

Took some snaps from the munai beach - point pedro.

Waiting for life!

Transport medium - Old and New!

Closer look of transport mediums...

Sometimes the beauty of life is just reflections of the past!

Boat - not sinking yet!

World is so wide, don't waste your time being in sides!

Wherever you go, come back to your home at the end...

Life is like the sea rocks... so uncertain they are!

Even the sunset gives you a new dawn!

Almighty's woodworks are far better than the human's!

A different angle, didn't it look like the anchor for the ships?

Panorama eye of a natural church. People attending the evening mass.

objects in the mirror are closer than they appear!

Palmyrah trees and Coconut trees - the identity of Jaffna

The lazy buggar!

hope is bright in eyes!
